Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Welcome to the Adler IRB site on Adler Connect. The Adler Internal Review Board (IRB) serves to review and approve protocols for the purpose of conducting research. Any student, faculty, or staff who is conducting research at Adler is required to inform the IRB about their activities. The IRB protocol application and associated instructions are available on this website. The site has materials that can help you with completing the protocols and documents about conducting research.

Research Ethics Board (REB)
The Adler University Research Ethics Board has the responsibility for independent, multidisciplinary review of the ethics of research.
All research and scholarship must be carried out in accordance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement, Privacy Legislation, human rights legislation, and any requirements that may be established by professional ethics, funding agencies, research partners, and/or other contractual agreements with other organizations. According to the Research Ethics Board Policy, the Board has the responsibility to review all proposed or ongoing research involving humans within the institution’s jurisdiction.
The Adler Research Ethics Board consists of six members, including both faculty members and community members with particular expertise. The REB meets near the end of each month – except in August and December.
